The Unstoppable Gospel
Acts 28
The ending of the Book of Acts tells us that Paul has finally reached Rome – the gospel has advanced to the ends of the earth. God had assured Paul that this would be so in Acts 23:11, and 27:24.
Opposition Could Not Stop the Gospel
Paul’s journey to Rome was not smooth and easy. He was arrested in Jerusalem, charged by the Sanhedrin, stood trial before governors, imprisoned for two years in Caesarea, before being sent on a dangerous sea voyage to Rome. From a human perspective, it looked like his ministry had been interrupted and should have ended. But in reality, every obstacle became another opportunity for advancing the Gospel.
